The programme opened a rare window into the world of scientific research for over 300 students from schools across Delhi and neighbouring NCR regions.
Students had the opportunity to engage with several scientists and research scholars from the laboratory to gain valuable insights into advanced research projects presently going on and the achievements of the past.
The ODAS programme at CSIO was a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, reaffirming CSIR-CSIO’s dedication to fostering a new generation of scientists and innovators.
During the programme, scientists from CSIR-IIP have interacted with the students and given insight about the advanced process and technology developed, as well as their futuristic aspects.
The programme not only strengthened scientific temper among the youth of the North-East region, but also supported the national mission of Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR).
The One Day As a Scientist programme was focused on laboratory visits, popular science lectures, hands-on experiments, discussion and interaction with scientists, fun activities, and a quiz.
Scientists and mentors at CSIR-NEERI guided students with live demonstrations, further deepening their understanding of environmental issues.
